Timberlake Pride

I was able to attend the Timberlake PTO auditorium reveal recently and was amazed at the project this small but mighty PTO group had taken on. Timberlake School is grades K-6 located in Jet, OK. The auditorium renovation
was a huge project.

The auditorium was built in 1956 with a small stage and seated 396 people. The plans were to improve the lighting, flooring, wall and ceiling finishes, acoustics and seating. The PTO group raised their money through grants and donations. They also asked for volunteers to help with the project. Forty-one adults and children came to help gut the auditorium for remodeling. All the seating was removed and refurbished. This project took exactly one year to the day to finish.

KanOkla matched $5000 in donations for this project through the KanOkla School and Library Assistance Program. The PTO group has worked with KanOkla on several matching funds projects. This group takes great pride in their school and their students. Congratulations on a job well done!
